Field report · before / after
The hour App Store Connectused to take
These are not hypotheticals. They are the three chores that made Redjan Hysa, shipping six live apps, build MetaRun in the first place: timed the old way, then the way the studio does them now.
Case file 01 · Shipping an update in every language
The what's-new that ate an hour
Every update meant completing the what's new and the promotional text for every language: back and forth between a translator and App Store Connect, pasting field by field. There wasn't even a button to reuse what I wrote for the previous update. One update, at least an hour.
The old way · by hand60+ min per update
- 1Write the release notes in English
- 2Translate in an external tool, language by language
- 3Paste into App Store Connect, locale by locale, field by field
- 4Re-check every field against Apple's character limits
- 5Next update: start again from zero, nothing carries over
With MetaRunA few minutes
- 1Type the release notes once, or just tell MILO
- 2AI translation fills every locale in one pass
- 3Preview the diff for every language, limits enforced automatically
- 4ENGAGE
Case file 02 · Screenshots for every device and locale
The screenshots Apple kept rejecting
There was no tool that made screenshots easy. You design everything yourself or pay another company, and most of the time the image dimensions were wrong. Now we design in one place, press Publish, and the screenshots are in place. One more button translates them for the other locales.
The old way · by handHours, or an invoice
- 1Design in a generic design tool, or outsource and wait
- 2Export by hand for every device size
- 3Upload rejected: wrong dimensions, redo the exports
- 4Upload again, per device, per locale
With MetaRunMinutes
- 1Design once in the studio: device frames and sizes are Apple-correct by construction
- 2Press Publish: every slide renders and stages in order
- 3One button translates the captions for the other locales
- 4Preview, ENGAGE
Case file 03 · Pricing across 175 storefronts
The bulk edit Apple never built
I wanted to bulk edit prices. Apple doesn't have that feature. I wanted purchasing-power-parity pricing across storefronts and there was simply no way to do it.
The old way · by handNot feasible
- 1Open App Store Connect pricing, territory by territory
- 2Convert and round every price yourself
- 3PPP across 175 storefronts: effectively impossible by hand
- 4Give up and charge everyone the US price
With MetaRunAbout a minute to stage
- 1Set a base price and pick a strategy (PPP, Big Mac, Spotify, or direct)
- 2The engine computes all 175 storefronts, snapped to Apple's tiers
- 3Preview the full matrix: old price, new price, percent delta per territory
- 4ENGAGE, and one tap reverts it if you change your mind
Times are the founder's own, from shipping Nutrio and five other live apps. Every MetaRun write above previews first and applies only on your click.
