Server or extension?
Both reach the same MetaRun server with the same sign-in. The extension adds a context file that explains MetaRun's two-step writes to Gemini (preview, then apply with the confirm token), so it tends to show you previews without being asked.

How Gemini CLI asks before a change
Gemini CLI asks before each MCP tool call unless the server is marked trusted or a policy rule allows the tool. Don't mark MetaRun as trusted: that would let applies through without a prompt. If you want fewer prompts, allow specific read tools with a policy rule.
Unattended
gemini -p runs one request without an interactive session. A call that would ask is treated as denied, so only tools a policy rule allows will run.
Read-only check, safe to schedule

Frequently asked questions
Does Gemini CLI need my App Store Connect key?
No. It signs in to MetaRun in your browser. Your key stays encrypted on MetaRun's servers.
Can Gemini change my store without asking?
Only if you mark the server trusted or allow apply tools in a policy rule. Don't. Every change is a preview first and needs its confirm token.
Which plans include agent access?
